Summer Concerts
During the summer, the Portageville Chapel hosts performances on the last Tuesday of June, July and August, starting at 7 p.m. Admission is free, with a free-will offering taken for the building restoration fund. Doors open 6:30 p.m.
The 2024 concert series promises to be the most memorable yet with a colorful and varied program of exceptionally talented performers.

Sous le ciel de Paris: Chansons and Songs from France and beyond.
Sophie et Adam
Sophie et Adam create a warm and intimate moment in which time stops, and music from around the world speaks. Inspired by pub songs from England, cabaret chansons from 1940s Paris, 18th century sacred harp singing, milongas from Argentina, and Scottish ballads, their music delights audiences across continents.They have performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Early Music Festival, the Lorelei Ensemble, A Far Cry, Blue Heron, Harvard University, and the Trinity Church of Boston. It is pure joy to anticipate their performance in the intimate setting and lively acoustic of the Chapel.

Nature Is Ever at Work!
INCIPIO Chamber Group
INCIPIO is thrilled to visit the Portageville Chapel for their Summer Concert Series and present Nature Is Ever At Work! Debuting a chamber group made up of INCIPIO’s core singers, they offer a program of works devoted to the glory of our earth, featuring a special presentation of Jonathan Dove's The Passing of the Year and the world premiere of Caroline Mallonee's Nature Motets along with other choral favorites. Join us for a refreshing summer evening of vibrant choral music celebrating the resplendence of nature near the scenic Letchworth State Park.

HYMN FESTIVAL
Jeremy Bankson, organist
Participating in a Hymn Festival at the Chapel is an experience you don't want to miss. This year, the festival will be led by the wonderfully talented organist, choir conductor, composer and arranger Jeremy Bankson, who serves as the Director of Music at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Dublin, Ohio. Jeremy received his Bachelor of Music Degree in organ performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he also pursued graduate studies in choral conducting. Active as a composer and arranger, he has led workshops, clinics and hymn festivals around the country. Bring your friends and come early for this uplifting evening of masterful organ improvisation and best loved hymns.
